Creativity minus the Pain. Do you dare?
I serve Creative Minds such as Artists (Performers, Writers, Actors, Creative Industry Professionals) who have plateaued in their career, feel stuck or simply want more in their life.
- They may have a record deal but find themselves less inspired when writing; motivation has dwindled as the initial excitement of being signed has worn off.
- They may have been artists for a decade or more and grown tired of the hard work longing for the fresh creative force they love.
- They may have had some initial successes but feel blocked when it comes to getting to the next level in their career or personal life.
In my view there are essentially 2 ways to go about life and art:
1) The fractured way, whereby you must struggle for your art, where your pain fuels your energy. Artists trapped in this path believe that success will make them happy, that public acknowledgment is the key to validation.
They are vulnerable to rejection and find themselves emotionally unstable- frustration and disappointments are always lurking around the corner.
Many never really produce their desired results because they are pushing away their success.
But when they achieve success i.e.Fame, they feel even more lonely and miserable.
Insecurities are not healed but only amplified in the limelight, feelings of inadequacy heightened.
The result is seen across our TV screens and the tabloids.
2) There is a path of integration whereby our energy is fueled from loving connection, encompassing body, mind and spirit.
The results are remarkable.
Not only will you feel happier, freer, lighter and more powerful in the world, People will actually like work with you.
You will attract and build great relationships with others as well as become known as a rare artist that people love connecting with.
How do you hold your own in an industry known to “eat up and spit out “ the talent it requires and come out on top?
One of my clients wanted a record deal but lacked self-esteem. Now she is not only signed to Universal, she also designed her own artwork and even a fashion line before her record has been published. She recently met Karl Lagerfeld and visited the house of Coco Chanel and rather than just being the pretty face, she has music and art work to share with her idols, too.
I learned about the path of integration through my own story of healing and connecting to my deeper passion. I always thought I wanted to be a star-performer come what may; that was my path. However, my voice was dysfunctional, I suffered a variety of chronic illnesses and held a lot of emotional pains. Or as I saw it: I was different (though special), nobody really gets me and I didn’t fit in.
My idea of freedom was ” to finally make it” and show them all how great I was. One day..
I believed that following my dream would lead me to happiness, success and world wide recognition but it lead me to frustration, being broke and hospitalization.
I embarked on a long and deep journey healing my voice and my world using the principles I now share with my clients.
My greatest weaknesses of being confused and helpless have transcended to my greatest strengths transmitting Clarity and Personal Power.
Before coaching full time, I created a global entertaining career, had 5 published CDs, produced 3 of my own albums, wrote and performed my own shows in 4 different countries in my 3rd language, worked as a singer, actress, stand-up comedienne and UK’s Nr.1 Madonna impersonator seen on TV and on stage.
There is a path of authentic success that creates more joy, fun and results than pain ever could.
In other words: YOU DON’T HAVE TO SUFFER FOR YOUR ART.
The most common way for most artists is the insecure way sourced out of pain. Some are scared of doing emotional healing because they fear loosing their juice.
One of my clients was terrified that if he himself was happy, he wouldn’t be able to empathize deeply enough with the pain of the characters he played. It turns out he didn’t only get hired permanently at a theatre, he became their leading man acclaimed in the national press. The more we heal, the deeper we can be of service. To our world, to our art.
By healing the gap between money and art, happiness and success, spirituality and material needs,
Artists finally fully unleash their true gifts to the world.
